Chili Cookoff Team Registration


October 15, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Location: Our office at 2765 S. Main Street, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144

Bring your best chili to win awards and support a great cause! Local chefs and dignitaries will pick the Judges’ Choice; attendees will vote with their spoons for the People’s Choice award.

Each chili team consists of one Team Captain and up to four other team members. Registration includes an event t-shirt for each team member. Make sure to register all the members of your team after checkout!

All registration fees will be donated to the Kennesaw and Cobb  Public Safety Foundations to support our first responders!

We will provide each team one six-foot table and room for a 10′ x 10′ tent (team must provide its own tent and may bring additional tables if desired). Tasting cups, bowls, and spoons will be provided, but each team must bring its own serving utensils for their chili and any garnishes they wish to provide.

We estimate that each competitor will need approximately four gallons of chili, to allow for judging, tasting (2-3 oz) servings for all attendees, and full (6-8 oz) servings for attendees who use their People’s Choice tickets to vote for that competitor.

Chili must be heated to 165° F by 11:00 on the day of the event and kept at 165° or higher at all times during the event. We recommend that you bring your own propane-powered device and fuel to cook/heat your chili; if needed, we will provide electrical power for slow cookers.  (We have learned from experience that Sterno/canned heat is NOT sufficient, and for health reasons teams that do not have sufficient heating capacity will not be allowed to serve their chili.)
