Piedmont Injury Law hosts first chiropractic seminar for CE credits in Marietta at the Mansour Center

This past weekend we did something new: We held an educational event for the chiropractic community, at the Mansour Center in Marietta. Through the years we have met and worked with many chiropractors, who have

been tremendously helpful to many of our clients. While they are fantastic healthcare providers, an excellent first line of treatment, and great referral sources, they have varying degrees of familiarity, comfort, and skill with handling personal injury cases specifically. We decided to offer an event to help chiropractors treat personal injury clients more effectively and profitably.

Thanks to our sponsors, a terrific slate of speakers, and the tireless efforts of our own Jennifer Starks, the event was a real success.

We presented sessions on adding a personal injury component to a wellness practice, featuring Dr. Steve Barnett; proper medical coding for diagnoses and procedures, by Dr. Craig Pinsker; legal compliance and mitigating business risk, by Shannan Collier, Esq.; and advances in medical imaging for spinal injuries and the brain, by Darr McKeown, MD, and Dr. James Duffy.

Wrapping up the day (well, at least before our networking cocktail hour), I sat on a panel with Dr. Rob Love, Dr. Rob Hart, and WSB radio personality, author, and chiropractor “Dr. Joe” Esposito. The doctors shared the practical experience they’ve gained over their years of practice – a “letter from the trenches” offering the lessons not taught in chiropractic school. We all took questions from the audience, and I had the opportunity to answer a few legal questions on people’s minds.

It was a fun, useful event, and a great experience. We’re looking forward to putting on the next one in a few months!
